For any of you guys already running Spillman

We are 48 hours into standing up Spillman as our new CAD/MDT OS.
How soon  does the insanity stop and things settle down?

I don't recall things being this crazy the last time we changed our OS.

We've had Spillman for a few years now.
We are running 6.1 and Mobile with statelink, which gives us access to fcic/ncic files. (Florida here)

It takes a learning curve to get through the report writing if your doing it from Mobile.
I keep forgetting to click on the blue call to activate it to add the involvements.
Once you get the steps down it is very easy to knock out a report in no time.
We are virtually paperless on our reports now.

It also depends how your dispatch is set up to add the involvements to the calls.
On report or arrest calls dispatch adds involvements so we can add them locally when we do the reports.

What are you having trouble with?

Not any one thing as far as I'm concerned. Everyone in general is having a steep learning curve.
They didn't go live at the time they wanted in spite of massive efforts. Big push to have an entire county and almost every agency switch over at the same time. I think the classroom training was in many ways more harm than good.
I'm sure it'll get better with time. Just been a rocky few days.

Ya, the training kinda confused us partly because we had the training along time before it went live and forgot the training.
We just had 6.1 for a long time before we went to Mobile.
In 6.1 we did the reports differently than you do them in Mobile, different in the steps you do.
If you are using Mobile, remember to click on the report to "activate" it then add your involvements, persons, vehicle, property, etc
Once you get the steps down, you will fly through a report.
I dont know how your booking/arrest reports are, we have to do the PC/Arrest affidavit at the jail.
I copy the PC/Arrest Affidavit to a USB drive in the jail and copy that to my Spillman Report, add a few odds n ends and the report is complete.
