From the tribute site.
The NYPD / FDNY Tribute Cap was created in October 2001 after the September 11th disaster. Wanting to have something to pay tribute to the emergency personnel who responded that day, the Tribute Cap was designed. Originally intended for members of the Surrey RCMP, unbelievable demand for the Tribute Cap made it quickly apparent that this would be a valuable way of raising funds for the families of the fallen police officers that day. Within months, thousands of Tribute Caps were being worn with pride from coast to coast, as far away as New York, San Francisco, Florida & even Australia.
Absolutely 100% of profits earned from the sales of the Tribute Cap are donated to the families of the NYPD members who paid the ultimate sacrifice that day.
I told GB and JLA about these and asked about promoting them on the site which they are looking into. For now I will post a pic and link to the site here. Myself and approx 50 co-workers have bought them with another order going in soon.
Cst. Spencer & Cst. Krygier have put a lot of work into designing and getting the hats produced as a tribute to their fellow LEO's and fire fighters who lost their lives on Sept 11.
I have received many positive comments on mine. Mostly "where can I get one". It is a very worthy cause.
