One of the guys I was in academy dropped out right before graduation to go to the secret service academy. He said it was really demanding mentally and physically. He was one of the more fit guys in our academy and said he was having a hard time. I will keep that in mind.

| Plenty of OT, lots of travel during campaign season. Lots of standing halls and walls and working gates too. There are some cool opportunities, some kind of tac team, counter-snipers, motorcycle unit. Many folks do use it as a foot in the door for an 1811 position somewhere. Ain't a bad gig. |

The guy that gave me the offer told me to go get Lasik, and then call the local USSS office and let them know that I was kosher. Before I could scrounge the cash to do it, I got a letter saying that the position had been filled.
