This is not the gd forum. I and sp1 spent most of the day trying to sort some hurt feelings and pissed off members around here. a few things came up that i felt need to be discussed. 1. Some comments have been made that this place should be for active shooters only. I strongly disagree with this. This forum was setup to give the women a place to get away from the jerks and staklers in GD. To give guys wives and better 1/2's a plce to socialise amoung themselves. Whether that be shooting or whatever else. Basically to further the "family" aspect of the site. Girl shooters can get or give advice on learning how and those that don't may get the spark to learn. This forum is for you women to get away from us guys. That is why most staff won't venture in and we try to leave it to the locals to work out the problems. 2. For some reason i am begining to see this place turn into the GD forum. The personal insults and backstabbing need to stop. You know if your guilty i am not pointing fingers at anyone. If you have a problem with another poster either resolve it via im or email or ignore them. IM'ing staff and mods to gripe about someone else isn't going to fix the problem. We shouldn't be forced to intervene between 2 adults as a referee. It's not our jobs and we don't enjoy it. 3. If you have a problem with a decision made by a mod, PLEASE try to discuss it with them before making a public spectacle out of it. If you don't get a response instantly wait a few hours. We all have lives and unlike me somefolks actually leave the PC once and awhile. If you don't get the answer you want then take it up with staff. 4. You girls have a great thing going over here. IMHO Mrsgloftoe/sp1girl/mona all do a good job. Please cut them some slack. This isn't an easy job an Mrse gloftoe is getting carpal tunnel from having to smack all the idiots in GD. Goatboy has specifically directed staff to cleanup all areas of the site especially the tech areas. Comments are to edited and posters removed if they can not follow the coc. i have no doubt this is going to cause some hurt feelings and upset some people but it's long overdue IMHO and needs to be done. All we ask is you keep your posts civil. Don't insult people blatantly or otherwise. If you find yourself becoming irritated, log off. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE FUN! Well put, TBS. I couldn't have said it better myself.  We have a great bunch of women on the site. There is a good camaraderie here, and I consider it to be an extended family. The Women's Forum has grown a lot since I came to this site, and we get more traffic in here than ever before. People come in here as a reprieve from GD, and I expect that they will be treated with respect. Leave the trash talking and witch hunts over there, please. This is no place for it. |

I feel that the Womens Forum is a sanctuary. When we get tired of all the BS on GD or anywhere else. We know that coming here,that it's not like any other place on the board. It's a place where us Gals can come together and be friends. It's a place where people can post and get honesty,instead of criticism as they would in GD. The guys that post in here are looking for honest answers and or advice. Although the Womens Forum is NOT a Dating Service,so please do not Troll our Forum looking for a Date! Mona |
I agree. The Women Shooters forum is like a sauna or steamroom at an exclusive, all-girls resort. I always just try to tie my towel real tight under my arms, hope that y'all don't notice me, and pray that a towel falls off of one of the [real] ladies.

I agree with that totally and I think it makes no sense to have some people come on here and bad mouth other people or cause trouble on here. If you don't like someone don't talk to them, don't talk about them, or don't post. If you want to be friendly and meet some great people then you're in the right place. Anyone who causes trouble for no reason and bad mouths everyone or anyone is being a hypocrite because then what are they doing in a place where they don't like whats going on? ::Sigh:: Some people on here badmouth each other and will message people badmouting other people when they have absolutely nothing against the other person or might not even know them. Whats the point? This is a place to create friendship not to be bitter or jealous against other people. Come on. I think the gals on here are great and I must have missed some big fighting or something because I only see some bitter comments every once in a while from certain members, which I've learned to ignore kind of like those "all women are evil" posts. I like posting with you girls/gals hehe so I hope everytihng is okay. |

Yeah...don't you see the button on the lower left saide which looks like a martini??? I'm just teasing you, hun. The only "ignore" feature we have is the "bite fingers and don't hit submit" switch we all have, but sometimes forget to use.
