Last weekend was homecoming weekend, My oldest was nominated into the Homecoming court for the first time. She told me she knew she wouldn't win, there was just no way because the other Senior girl had been on the court the 3 previous years and never won, so she would win this year. She was right, the other girl won, but my little girl came home with the Title of Princess. I was so proud of her and she was so beautiful. Hard to believe she's 18 now and graduating this year. very pretty daughter! Congrats! I never heard of homecoming in the winter, all the schools around here have it in the fall, usually Sept-Oct. Way back when, I was a homecoming candidate, two of my daughters were also candidates. No winners tho  (except in our hearts! )

Thank you everyone. Homecoming is during Basketball season for this school since they don't have a football team!  They are big on Soccer, so it is soccer instead of Football. The guys in jerseys are players in either JV or Varsity. ETA, yes she does look just like me, out of 3 kids she's the only one too. Poor kid, I feel so sorry for her. |
