Our boy is hanging in there! He sure is tough! I finally broke down and called Stan, Rory's step Dad. Rory has had some set backs but is now moving forward. He won't be able to come home for another couple of weeks and then only for a few weeks but he's feeling better, not having as much pain. They fitted him with a pair of glasses but it turned out to be the wrong prescription - which turned out to be a good thing as his vision was very poor with them. They took him to a different eye dr. and he was refitted with new prescription and they will be able to correct his vision to 20/40 - however it will be almost another week [this happened before Christmas] before he gets his new glasses. So essentially he's blind right now [poor guy!] but he's happy he'll get glasses that will correct his vision. He's back at Walter Reed right now but they're hoping by the first of next week he'll be released to go home. He will have to go back to a rehab center for a month or two though. Keep the prayers coming! It'll send goosebumps up your spine if you counted all the mircles that have happened with this man! Patty |
