I am thinking of giving my niece / God Child a confirmation bracelet for her confirmation next month. FYI: she'll be 16 in a few months. I want the gift to be memorable, age appropriate, and nice. I looked on line but it's too hard for me to tell how good the bracelets are. My guess is anything good will cost too much. I may have to head to the jewelers to see if it's an option. Do you think this is a good idea or should I choose something else? I don't have children so I always struggle with gifts for major events when it comes to my nieces and nephews. My sister in law never guides me or gives suggestions and my brother always says, "I don't know"...drives me crazy!!!
Any input would be greatly appreciated |
| The jewelry ideas sound great if she is the sort who wears jewelry. You should find out if she prefers silver or gold. Another idea would be a Bible with her name embossed on the cover. The Christian bookstore here has some really pretty ones and the embossing is free. |

Hey everyone,
Thank you for your help. The Confirmation was last Sunday. I opted for a single strand pearl bracelet as pearls were given to me by my Godmother for my Confirmation. Her sponsor just happened to give her a very beautiful Pearl necklace. We did not communicate, just a coincidence. Anything "Tiffany" is all the rage in my God Child's world right now. I know she likes their silver stuff. She did, however, get a Tiffany cross necklace from her mother. I think the Bible would have been more appropriate; but I've been told that it's really not what the younger generation is into now so I listened but DID NOT give in to the "Just give her money" crowd. I wanted something memorable for this landmark in her life. Anyway, just thought I'd update you. I appreciate the help Thanks again! |
