The Emerson-I've pleaded lack of funds to myself for two years, but an AR15.com CQC7 would be an instant sell. On the other hand, Cold Steel would be a good deal cheaper, we could mimic the Gunsite Folder(just because I like that particular model, not any particular affinity for Gunsite), and MSRP would be about $50. Juggernaut Forgot to add, tanto blade is a must.

I like the Cold Steel knifes. This would be a perfect reason to get another. Doesn't seem to be much interest in it though. I'll buy three, one for me and the others for my AR buddies. Dan

I'd buy (2) as well. A tanto is a must for my needs. The emerson would be $$$ but very much worth it. idaho-ar15

I agree with juggernaut and idaho-ar15, gotta be a tanto style blade. Ever see the cold steel video? I duplicated the test that your not supposed to try at home. I used the recon tanto fixed blade to punch through one of our wrecked cop cars a 96 caprice interceptor's trunk lid. It went through the outer skin and the steel stamped reinforcement. Still cut the hairs on my arm afterward, though not as good as before, but it still did it.

I think the Cold Steel would be an instant hit. Save me a couple will ya?

How about a SOG Pentagon Series ? Great knives. Costs a few dollars above others but well worth every penny of it. Jackpot

Any comment from GoatBoy on this idea? Tyler

Cold Steel would be great, Emerson would be better.
Link Posted: 8/15/2001 8:22:48 PM EDT
I'd get one, anyone else?
Link Posted: 8/16/2001 4:59:41 AM EDT
I could swing something in the Cold Steel price range.
Link Posted: 8/16/2001 2:06:29 PM EDT
I would buy one. If not over $100.00
Link Posted: 8/16/2001 2:13:07 PM EDT
What if we had some AR15.COM byos? I have a post-ban ar but it would still be cool and it fits. One could even come on the next AR the site gives away[8D]

Columbia River makes a nice knife with Tantao blade called the M-16 and it has the 1* symbol on it. I really like mine and its under $75.00

MICROTECH WOULD BE THE ONLY TRUE TACTICAL KNIFE
Link Posted: 9/10/2001 8:41:07 PM EDT
What FMJ said. How about the AR15.COM Amphibian or LCC?
Link Posted: 9/11/2001 9:10:39 AM EDT
AWESOME!!
Link Posted: 9/13/2001 6:08:52 PM EDT
I would jump at the Cold Steel, I have never been disapointed with them in price or performance. How about sheath knifes....I bet K-bar could make a full size or mini for AR15.com without costing $$$$$.

The Cold Steel Recon 27LTH or Emerson Emerson CQC7BW would be fine with me. I'm all about the tanto style with partial serrations. God Bless Texas

For what it's worth, I place my vote for the Applegate-Fairbairn Black Covert Folder. M4

SGB, Like this idea a great deal. If it's kept to a reasonable price ($100 or so?), we could probably round up quite a number of folks. Is there enough concensus to move forward? I'd love to have one. Thanks for the thought.

I'm not so sure about this Wave. After reading Sherm's exolding mag thread, the thought of you with a pointed weapon scares the hell outa me! [:D]

hmmmmmm - folding Tanto style blade = Benchmade as far as I'm concerned. Goatboy, why not just let us know what it's going to be so we can decide and start saving our pennies to buy ? Also - will we have the option for the coated blade vs. the plain steel and combo edge vs. just a full straight edge?

What? It's not gonna be made by Mattel like my M16?[;D] I'm praying for a Cold Steel folding tanto. Think Gunsite folder. Juggernaut
