Anyone remember when... Winchester 94 30-30's were $69.00. Ruger auto .22 pistols were $37.50. Ruger Single-Six .22's were $57.50. Browning Auto 5's Light weight with vent rib was $155.00. Jack O'Conner was the guns editor at Outdoor Life magazine. Elmer Keith was the gun editor at Field & Stream. Scott-Attwater and Martin made small outboards. StarCraft 12' aluminum car tops were $199.00. Gasoline got as low as $.299 during price wars. 1972 Datsun 1200 coupes were $1715, full price. New '67 Corvettes were $5200. 289 Cobras were $5950 off the dealer floor. Those were the good old days. Hadn't thought about that stuff for a long time. Brings back a wave of pleasant memories. |
