I tried searching a bit but can't find an answer though I know this has been discussed here before.
I own a house in NJ and rent in NC as I'm finishing my degree. I have guns at both houses. Can I legally ship long guns to myself? (I ship NJ-legal AR or a lower to my home in NJ the day before I fly back) Can I do the same for handguns? Could I have my sister (legal firearms owner herself & who lives in my house in NJ) ship me one of my long guns from NJ to NC? Lastly, could I buy a handgun in NC and send it to my sister as a birthday present? (I'm guessing no on this one. It probably has to go through an FFL) FYI: All guns being shipped are legal in both states and were obtained legally. I know NJ laws pretty well, am just learning NC laws, but know very little about shipping firearms. Thanks guys |
