Does the EzCheck work he same as an FFL when mailing a firearm.  Can I go to FedEx and mail off a firearm to a FFL using the EzCheck number?  I have the EzCheck number and mailing address but no actual copy of the FFL for the receiving party.

I believe only UPS will ship firearms for non-dealers.  You have to go to an actual UPS location, not "The UPS Store" as those are owned privately.

You don't need a copy of an FFL as you are not an FFL.  Most FFLs will not even send you one for security reasons.  If you have an EzCheck number and the address matches up then your good to go.

An EzCheck is not the same as an FFL.  Its just a number that you use to verify that the location your sending it too is an actual FFL.

I think this varies from FedEx office to FedEx office!

I have shipped handguns and a rifle via FedEx and never showed them any FFL at all. Wasn't asked for it and didn't have it!

Other folks in other areas report problems trying to ship guns in accordance with the Tariffs!

So I don't think we can generalize. Only sure thing is that if you print out the Tariff, bring it with you and call BS when they start giving you a hard time, you are likely to prevail.
