Good afternoon everyone,

Just  quick question: is getting an 06 FFL (mfg of ammo) as easy and unobtrusive as getting an 03 (C&R)?  In other words, is it just a matter of filling out the paperwork, and mailing it in with the money?  Or does the ATF come interview you , look around your business, etc., like they would for an 01 or 07?

I was thinking about making some ammo as a little side business, but I've never heard anyone talk about doing it, or even the 06 FFL itself.

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

I would check out the liability consequences and cost of insurance first.  Other considerations would be local zoning and licensing requirements, not to mention storage of powder and primers.

Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it.  However I've thought about and looked into that already.

Any idea about the actual process though?
