Can someone please tell me why Bushmaster is mentioning Pre-Ban Lowers in their descripton of complete uppers?
see web description Bushmaster pre-ban uppers
see below:
"Bushmaster offers a complete Upper Receiver / Barrel Assembly with the ARMS S.I.R. System (Selective Integrated Rail) already installed. This Pre-Ban 16" A3 S.I.R. Upper Receiver / Barrel Assembly (shown above) is complete, test fired at the factory, and ready to snap on to your Pre-Ban lower receiver. It includes the ARMS S.I.R. System Military Version which does away with the Delta Ring Assembly on the Barrel Nut. This high quality upper receiver mounted rail system free floats the barrel for optimum accuracy and allows unlimited mounting of sights, lasers, lights, etc. "

They mention this in their description of both their   16in Pre Ban A3 S.I.R. System Upper Receiver  and their 16in Pre Ban M4 Upper Receiver:
"We call this the Patrolman's Carbine Upper - an M4 profile barrel stretched to 16" length and A3 (flat-top) versions are also available. To comply with regulations, this Upper Assembly model may only be used on Pre-Ban Lower Receivers."
M4 description

What's up wiith this? Is it simply old copy from before Sept 13th? or do they have some other reason? I don't see any disclaimers regarding flash hiders or telescoping buttstocks.

Got an answer from Bushmaster this morning...they haven't updated their online catalogue to reflect the death of the AWB.

1. Probably haven't updated that part of their website yet.

2. For folks who live in states where bans are still in effect.

These are my best guesses.

The customer service guy said that Bushmaster will be updating their web site soon...I guess No-Ban and AWB (for the occupied territories) will be the terms used.
