I have tried to look this up so please excuse my ignorance if this has been hashed many times, which I am sure it has. Would I be legal to purchase a complete pre-ban upper, i.e. with an A2 flash hider and bayonet lug, and not assemble the upper to my lower until the AWB sunsets on the thirteenth of September? Everything I have found only mentions an assembled weapon. Thanks in advance.

when the ban expires, it will be as it had never been in effect, you would be wise not to assemble anything prior to the ban, keep all of your parts at seperate locations, so you will not be showing intent to build an assault weapon

I'm not sure if it's legal, but if you keep yer mouth shut and just make sure you don't go bragging about it on the internet, you should be fine.  If you're that worried about it just store the parts in someone else's house until VICTORY DAY.

Thanks for the input. I have purchased a RRA complete lower and I want to order the RRA complete A2 pre-ban upper. No matter what I will not put them together until the ban sunsets.

Thanks
