I am in San Diego Ca. I just found a huge amount of mold in my GFs sons bedroom and a some noticeable amount in our bedroom as well.
My landlord is not a very cooperative or even nice guy. I feel he will retaliate and try to evict me if I report. I am currently trying to secure a lawyer before I inform him of the mold just to be certain. Is there anything I need to know before doing this? I was told by my neighbor that this was an issue before I moved in. |

if it's mold due to high humidity, you can remove that yourself, but be careful about it not to cross-contaminate other areas and surfaces.
run a dehumidifier to remove the moisture that's allowing the mold to grow, or you'll be seeing it again in a month or less. |
