It looks like I may be moving to Boston, MA, living within the city of Boston.
What are the guns laws out that way? Can I own an AR? What about hand guns? CCW?
Any help would be much appreciated.

AR are pretty much forbidden in Boston, good luck on handguns, and forget the CCW.
Go to NH and comute (or at least find a suberb of Boston). I have family in that area - you need a license just to buy pepper-spray (shows you how bad it is there).
