This is what I have: standard wood stock, standard fixed 10 rnd mag, bayonet lug removed. Question: Is it still a No-No to mount a flash suppressor?

If the SKS is still in a fixed-magazine configuration, it doesn't matter because it's not subject to 922(v). However, as an imported rifle, you can't add "military" features to the imported rifle if it was imported post-90, unless you replace sufficient foreign-made parts with US-made parts (18 USC 922(r)).
