Probably the best firearm lawyer is Steve Halbrook.  His number used to be 703-352-7276

Stephen Halbrook is in Northern VA, nowhere near NC. Also, I'm assuming this isn't a big firearms appellate case, which is what he's known for.

Your best bet is to find someone that appears regularly in the court where you're going, someone with respect and experience.
