It is permissible to ship 15rd mags to a LEO in California, correct? I have an officer who wants to purchase them. I know it's not legal to ship to civilians, but I'm sure there is an LEO exemption. Anything I need to do other than get a copy of his Dept ID? |

You may ship magazines of any capacity that you can, to whom every you want here, as long as you disassemble them even a little bit. For AR-15 magazines simply remove the floor plate and you've created a magazine repair parts kit. Don't need no ID, law enforcement or otherwise, to repair your magazines up to and including replacing every part in them. |

This thread has nothing to do with civilian magazines. It's a question strictly on the LEO side of the issue. I think it was answered in the second post, provided he is correct. I just sent a CA cop two very rare "standard" capacity mags with a photo dept ID and a call to his HR dept verifying employment. Actually, I'm sure it's fine, I'm just wondering if there was anything else I was supposed to do under CA law. |
