Quoted: BUT ALL THE PS3 FANBOYS SAY THEY NEVER HAVE ISSUES?!?!?! WHAT?????????????/ sorry i can't help, i'm a 360 guy Nah, most of them don't actually have issues. There was a really bad firmware that nuked a bunch of the lenses a good deal back but other than that the only real problem that happens is overheating.

| sounds like the BD laser probably died, if thats the case you can fix it yourself for $60-90 depending on the laser model in it, video of procedure and replacments here or you can send it back to Sony I think they charge $125 to fix them. |

I called sony finally got to the right department and the guy reset my ps3 over the phone. He asked for serial number then had me do a few things and he asked me what was on the screen. I was amazed how quiqkly he did it. Didn't cost a thing. So he fixed it remotely? Did he say what the problem was? ByteTheBullet (-: |

I over heated my new model by having it standing up (suppose to be laying down). DOH! All turned out ok after restarting thank goodness. |
