I need to make some bangin' chili for the girl...
The last time I made venison chili or any chili for that fact was atleast a couple years ago.

I need a really good recipe.

Venison Chili  - ground
2 lbs. coarsely ground venison
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. chopped onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 lg. green pepper, cut in strips
3 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. sugar
3 1/2 c. whole tomatoes
1 c. tomato sauce
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt

Brown venison in vegetable oil. Add onions, garlic, and green pepper. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add chili powder, sugar, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, and salt. Simmer 1 1/2 hours.  Serves 6-8.




Venison Chili - Cubed

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 1/2 pounds venison, cut into cubes
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chile peppers
1 can beef broth
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika

DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook venison, onion and garlic in oil until meat is browned. Transfer to a slow cooker and stir together with chiles, broth oregano, cumin, salt and paprika. Cook on medium 4 to 5 hours.

If you are a person who adds beer to their chili there are some fantastic smoked beers out there that really add to the flavor.
