Anyone ever use exploding targets? I've never used any tannerite, but some of the videos posted here are pretty wild. Will 1/2 pound make a big boom?

Yes it makes a BIG boom.

Works as advertised.

Buy it while you can...

They are fun.  Videos do not do them justice.  Feeling the "boom" is better than watching it on a video for sure.

MUCH fun to be had with tannerite.  You will definitely get peoples attention when it goes off.

ETA:  Somebody posted the "ingredients" at one time.  I believe it it is nothing more than ammonium nitrate and powdered aluminium.  I have no idea where you could get these items locally, especially the powdered aluminium.

For best results use 10+ lbs strapped to a few gallons of diesel fuel placed in or under a small/mid-sized car.

See youtube for other fun ideas.

That's an obscene profit margin on Ammonion Nitrate fertilizer and powdered aluminum...

Tanny is the funnest legal thing you can do.

edit: if anybody knows a good source for the ingredients, please send me an IM.

Alot of fun!  We've blown up a few old trucks we had on our property.  Fun to watch parts fly a couple hundred feet in the air......be careful on where you do this.  We had the Sherif dept call out on us, we were in the middle of 2000 acres and some homes on the other end of the propety said we were rattling their windows.  I don't know if that was true, but we were mixing about 3 to 4 packages into one

You really need to watch this video from the Washington Hometown Forum. It will explain everything you ever wanted to know about tannerite.

That was awesome. I guess those were a little more that 1/2 pound targets.

Wait, you live in Jax and you haven't been witness to Slug-O's Tannerite escapades?

Tannerite is great fun.  I took a case of it on a camping trip a couple of years ago.  I mixed up a couple of bottles and put them out for targets without telling anyone what it was, they thought it was just a plastic bottle with an orange sticker on it.  When one of my buddies hit the first one, everyone was thrilled!  Yes, we shot up the whole case and had fun with each explosion.

yes, we shot them at a shoot here in TX, with a .50BMG we uhh may have caused a small fire when the 50 hit something in the background and sparked up.
