Anyone know of one.

Need it to be like Adobe but without the 800.00 price tag per user.

Is there even one out there?

Like open office?

Cutepdf. It consists of two programs. Googling it should get you going.

eta: I think it works like a printer.  you choose to print to cutepdf, and it saves your document as a pdf.

If you want Acrobat Pro functionality, there is no substitute.

If you just want to convert word processing files to .pdf, there are lots of free methods.

If you want to create fill-in forms, etc.  I don't think you have a lot of options.

Just looking for a cheaper thing to use.
We have a few people that want it but wow is it pricey to buy 20 seats.

May have to do it though just because they are the only store in town.

Download Sun's OpenOffice 3.

Its "Draw" application can open and edit PDF files (and print/save as pdf or odf hybrids).

So. I hear you don't Google much. Yeah. I lost alot of sleep when I ran into Google. It was raining out and I had just changed the paper in the bird cage. The cat wanted his chance, but I turned down the favor. The bird screams when the cat comes close anymore. What happened during that first encounter I will never know. One of my fish is sunbathing on the surface. Silly fish.

Do you need to actually edit PDFs, or do you just need to convert Word docs and such to PDF format?

If the latter, I recommend PrimoPDF.
