I know I am in the crystal set/tin can telephone era.
WTF is an MP3 or whatever it is and how do I send a voice email with one? Seems I'm getting asked by RFA (Radio Free Arfcom) for a verbal tale of woe and I do not know how to do this. Speak slowly. My ears are old. |

MP3 is just a format of how to save/store/compress the audio you are sending. (Think VHS vs DVD vs BluRay, it doesn't mean much other than what there player can play.) (Note: this is overly simplied, but more details don't matter.) You will need a program that can save to mp3 or a program that can convert to mp3 from whatever format your recorder is recording too.
Once you have this file, you attach it to the email you are sending. |

Get a microphone for your computer, if you use a laptop it may have one built-in.
Download and install Audacity Download and install the LAME mp3 encoder Then run Audacity and record your message. This all sounds more complicatated than it really is. |
