Guys I learned this a few years back in a technology course I took,
and I just can figure out how to do it anymore.
Anyone care to enlighten me so I can do this again please.

Thanks,
Natron

Are you using the 'new' editor or the old editor?

Just do this:

put url surrounded by brackets at the beginning of your link and /url surrounded by brackets at the end.

You just type [ url] before your link, and the same after, but close the tag with /
So it's:
addy here and then close the tag [/ url]
No spaces in there, those are for educational purposes only.

Same with pictures but its pic link here and then close
[/thread ]

I simply copy the URL of the video, and click on the Flash button, and paste, then hit OK.

That pops it into my post

The advanced editor Flash button works good for that. I don't touch the other settings in there.
BTW, I think a lot of people have probs with this because they use bad URLs.

It has to be the original link like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z-hEyVQDRA

Not a link like this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o2siXC_w0I&feature=related

See the difference?  In the info box for the videos is a "clean" link, use that, not whats in the addy bar of your browser
