Hi,
got a call from someone wanting to sell a colt python in 45 (he says ACP), but I am pretty sure he means 45 Colt).

He wants $850,  He says a couple hundred rounds and Stainless Steele.

Good deal?

Anaconda maybe, but I'm pretty sure the Python frame isn't large enough for .45 Colt.

Anaconda, or the exceedingly rare Possum.

yeah, pretty sure the guy doesn't know anything about it.

He originally said "Colt python 1911 revolver in 45ACP" and I said "Wha?"

Ok, prolly a Stainless Anaconda in 45 Colt.

850 still good?

A 1911 revolver, huh?     Wow! that was only for special forces 'cuz the automatics jammed so much...

it is a Anaconda

Unless it is a 1909 (45LC) or a 1917 (45acp) with a ribbed barrel and no finish left

8 and a half would be about right for a .45 Colt Anaconda.

Maybe it might be a good idea to actually look at what he has. My money is on it being an Anaconda, too–– and at least in my local market, that's a pretty good price.

As everyone has correctly stated it's more than likely an Annaconda, Pythons were made in .38, and .357 but never .45 Colt.
