| So I hear all the references to the "boating accident" where many people lost their weapons. I assume this means the Assault Weapon Ban, but I haven't been able to find a definite answer. Can anyone fill me in? |
| When everyone was worried about a new ban and confiscations, the story was you had all of your guns on your boat and you tripped, a wave came over or you just dropped them in the ocean. Never to been seen again, lost for ever. One of those concepts were if a lie is big enough it takes on a life of it's own and becomes true. |

Its really a horrible thing ..... We rented a large houseboat and I took all my weapons with me because I did not want to leave them at home, it came a horrible squall in the middle of the second night and the boat went down in 290 ft of water..... sure do miss those weapons... |

I was just outside the marina when I lost mine overboard. Some are in a medium size blue barrel and some in large diameter PVC pipe weighted down with cinder blocks. Some fell off the boat while it was on the trailer and found their way into the woods, and buried themselves a couple of feet down. |

Can anyone fill me in? It's a tongue in cheek reference to what you would say to agents of the government if they came searching for weapons during a ban. Officer J.B. Thug: Mr citizen, our records indicate you own an AR 15 semi auto cop killer machine gun and an AK 47 SKS assault weapon with school shooting grenade launcher. These weapons are now contraband and must be turned over. Mr. Citizen: I'm sorry sir but those weapons were lost in a terrible boating accident several years ago. Kthanksbye |

Can anyone fill me in? Start a thread asking everyone to list their firearms. Then you'll see the reason, Mr. Federal man. |

Mine went down with the Titantic.
So I bought more, but they went down with the Lusitania. I shopped around, got more, but then the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and the ship blew up! Undeterred, I got some real collector's pieces but then the Somalis hijacked the ship. I haven't tried buying guns since then. |
| Well, thanks to 90% for not actually answering. Damn! You're all too smart, but I'm no spy! So now that that's out of the way.......If you all were to own guns.....what kind would they be? And where in your house would you store them? And what's your social security number? And where do your kids go to school? And what times are you not home? |

| I was so concerned after the election that I decided to spend more time with my guns and ammo. I knew a secluded island in Lake Marion SC where I could shoot without harassment. Unfortunately, on my way out there, the bayonet on my M-14 poked a hole in the bottom. I was able to swim to shore. I've got rough coordinates of where it went down if anyone knows any certified divers. Don't the SWAT or ATF have dive-trained personnel? |
