My left thumb has been numb for two days, any ideas? I still works, but it is asleep, pins and needles when I touch it. Top and right side are the worst.
I mechanic for a living. Pinched or trapped nerve? In before the " it's teh aids" |

Sounds like a peripheral nerve. It's too far distal (judging by the area involved) to be one of the major nerve trunks that feed the hand (Ulnar, Median, or Radial).
Any strength loss? You probably banged or contused the nerve while you were working. It should come back over time. |

Cletus what is er ah was the assembly in the video? This? It's a BFC, it applies the brake pad to the wheel of the train with about 9500 lbs of force. Pneumatic type actuator. Of course, I only see it when it is broken, then have to take all those parts and rebuild them. It is actually one of the funner valves I rebuild, just the one with the most parts, o-rings,springs, and dangerous shit inside. |
