Okay here it is the wife and I have been married for seven years and their is something we can't come to agree on.

So I told her I was going to poll the hive and see what ya say

here is the question.....If you are driving down the road and you leave a city 'pass the city limits'

#1 are you still in that city?

#2 or do you consider it to be in the country till you pass by  the next city sign?

this question after the kids ask what town are we in, when we are in the middle or nowhere

I would say you are still in that city. That "city limit" sign could be 20 years old and new housing has sprung up where there was no housing when the sign was put up.

Depends, sometimes the city does not move the sign even though they have annexed out pass the sign.

I would say if the borders (not the sign) have not officially been changed and recorded then no you are no longer in the city limits.

100ft past that sign you are in the surrounding County...and no longer under" Town Law" but still under "County law" is the way I read the "book"
