| Anyone use an oil extractor for oil changes? I can't seem to find one that doesn't have mixed reviews. Some don't hold up to synthetic oils. I would love some suggestions. |

Yes. The ones that work on vacuum are best as they do not have the oil seal issues. And the MityVac one is the best as long as you have a good compressor to power it. I need it for my TDI to get all the old oil out of the filter housing. Then I just shove the tube down the middle of the filter housing to get the rest. No need to get under the vehicle, sucks it clean in about 3 minutes. |

Are there some that you just have to keep pumping or something? Mightyvac is one of the brands I ran across that had problem with synthetics eating seals. It wasn't the model that used a compressor though. I have a compressor so that won't be a problem for me if I have to go that route. I just thought one of the hand pump models would be more reliable. |
| This is the Mightyvac I was looking at where the reviews said that synthetics eat the seals. |
