I need to get my hands on a program to date and time stamp my pics for a project I am on right now.
Anyone suggest the best one to get?

Yes it does but I need to take approx. 500-800 pics and they all have to have the same date on them.
Sometimes I have to edit some out and replace them with one from a day or so later.

Just edit them with a picture editor and put the date stamp in a transparent text box.

If I had to do 800 images with the same stamp I'd use ImageMagick

Even if you've never used it and you had to spend time figuring it out you'd be way ahead.

Setup an Action with photoshop, then run a batch mode.
