| As one of the haters myself, I can say this makes me think they are awesome. I'm sure this can be made to work on any new smart phone, but the technology is still amazing. Watch the vids and read the part about Augmented reality games. |

Quoted: There's nothing unique to the iPhone that keeps the same thing from being done on other platforms (like the Moto Droid, for example). It's just a developer decision. With that out of the way, I'd LOVE to play with that! That's it, you're out of the cult! Hand in your snuggie, and the keys to your Jetta. |

Sure they may work great, but they keep you in that straight line, and everyone laughs at you when you use either
I guess I am more impressed more with the chopper itself |

You know, I really like everything an iPhone can do and I like its interface... BUT... I despise my phone with every fiber in my being. The first one was fucked up and stopped receiving the edge signal about a month after I got it. I could only get 3G and if I was out of a 3G network I was screwed. So I got it replaced and this one worked fine for 6-7 months until it started having problems with the lock/sleep button. It started locking on its own, like there was a glitch in the button. Then it quit having problems with that and started having problems with the vibrate/ring switch. It would go back and forth on its own with out me touching it (once again some short in the switch). Since it vibrates when the switch is activated, it would just buzz all the time (I had to check it every time to make sure I wasn't getting a text or something). Then it got worse and the volume switch started acting up, turning down on its own and staying that way, not letting me turn it back up. Usually bopping it on the side of the phone would fix the problem for a little bit and for a whole week I didn't have a problem (the problem seems amplified by cold weather) but as we've moved on to the winter its gotten worse. The lock key started acting up again and all three things act up at once. Now tonight the thing almost completely crapped out. Unless I have it plugged up, it tries to do a hard reset on its own but never starts all the way up, essentially turning it into a paper weight. I'm going to an Apple Store in a week and can hopefully get this one replaced because this is just stupid. ETA: I'm sure no one will see this thread but I quasi-fixed my phone. I find in life that if you hit something hard enough, it's bound to work properly sooner or later. A couple of good bops to the back of the phone seemed to have fixed it. The sleep button is still triggering a little bit, but at least its working now. That and the phone is actually staying active once I unplug it. I'm still going to the Apple store in a week, but its nice to have it working again. (I actually restored it to make sure that wasn't causing problems and getting everything back on was a major pain in the ass.) |
