Check out the Gun Owners of Calif website at www.gunownersca.com. You will find their endorsement of Bill Simon for the Republican candidate(Dick Riordan is 110% anti-gun). And check out who GOC endorsed for various state-wide assembly and senate offices.

Amen to that, brother warlord!
I often vote the NRA recommendations, but I have to say they made the wrong choice this time by supporting "Boring Bill" Jones. It was a logical choice, but the logical choice is not always the right choice especially in Californistan politics.
I'm going with the GOC recommendation (and my own personal analysis) and voting for Simon.
People outside of Californistan may be interested in this:
Californistan has a "modified closed primary". Voters who are affiliated with a party (Republican, Libertarian, or one of the evil parties) vote for all nonpartisan offices, propositions, and partisan issues like committee members for their own parties.
But independent voters (not affiliated with a party) like me get a choice! At the polls we can request either a nonpartisan ballot OR one from any of the parties, but excluding party committee choices. IOW I can and will request a Republican ballot and will vote for Bill Simon.
I'm 44 years old and have never voted in a Republican primary before. [rolleyes] I was a member of a certain other big party from age 18 until several years ago, when I quit it in disgust over gun rights and privacy issues.
