Any reviews on the TAD gear Robin Hoodie? I am looking for a softshell jacket to keep me warm down to ~0 degrees (doesn't get too cold in NC). Any comments on TAD gear or another softshell jacket are welcome

I'd like to keep it around $100 or so also.

Top of the line stuff, so I'm sure it's pretty good man.

I have a Stealth and it's like a force field lined with kitten ears.

A good softshell to keep you warm to 0 degrees for only $100

I would buy a really good fleece jacket and then buy a shell separate to use for heavy winds and rain on top of the fleece, then you can use the shell alone in the summer for hot days with rain...

I can't really help you, but I'm interested.  I was eyeballing the Marmot(SP), Mountain Hardwear, Arc'teryx and The North Face soft shells.  The North Face I kinda don't like because a lot of bratty spoiled kids wear them.  But, I found one of there soft shells at a nice price online. I will provide link a bit later.  I know you want one with a hood, but check it out anyway.  I tried it on at REI and it was very comfy and well built.

TNF Apex Bionic

I just ordered one. They are out of black, so I picked the blue.  REI had them for $129.99.

Not sure if it's quite what you're looking for, but I'm sitting in a Mountain Hardware Paldor right now. It's deffinitly a lightweight softshell, but I've taken it down to 13 degrees with just a baselayer underneath it, and it kept me plenty warm. It is definitly a softshell though.

marmot and patagonia make good stuff.  Probably going to be a little more than $100 though

When on the farm, I wear a hooded zip-up Carhartt.  It's OK, but the other day I ran out without it, and when I got to the farm, I realized I needed it since I would be outside for a little while.  I grabbed my brother's Wall's jacket.  It is the same styling, but it felt thicker and heavier.  That jacket was warm!  I will be getting one next.
