Do we have any pepsi employees here?  I don't understand why it is only offered for limited amounts of time when so many people love it so much better and there is a huge demand for it.  I understand that it costs more to make because natural sugar is more expensive than corn syrup, but I think I and many others would be ok with ponying up an extra buck for a 24 pack of it.  That is the only reason I have heard why they won't make it permanent.  But there is huge demand and stores can't even keep it on the shelves, so I don't get it.

I bet it has something to do with the machinery used to make it.  Probably can't dedicate a line to making it full time.

I luv Pepsi throwback. I had a stop-n-rob store still getting the old stuff as of a month ago. But,,ive heard and even experienced it myself, that it starts to lose its bite after awhile. not sure if its cuz of the real sugar or not. But afterawhile, it loses its "soft" taste and starts to taste like coke (harsh). But Ive since gotten off sodas, even throwback is bad for you in the long run. lol.

Sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.

It takes a little getting used to. At least the Pepsi does.

But after drinking the TB Pepsi awhile, the regular shit just tastes like straight acid, no flavor at all.

The TB Mt. Dew tastes very very much like Mello Yello, if you remember that stuff.

I think that Dew is the better tasting of the two throwbacks, and I intend to buy a shitload of it this time round.

In cans, it should keep just fine for 6mos, maybe longer.

When I heard it was being pulled last time around I bought the last 14 cases from Wal-Mart.  I need to restock this time around too.

I'm stocking up on both kinds of Throwbacks and Mexican Coke.  It's real popular in my house.

I still have a couple of cases from the summertime run.

My SO just bought 12-15 12pks of the stuff here lately. Only manged to find a few 12pks last time around, and we aren't making the same mistake twice.

Check out the Hess and BP stations, I got my hands on some at the BP station on I-Drive, just across the street from the McDs on Sand Lake and I-Drive.

I love it. It was 3/$10 at a local Publix, so when I get paid I'm back for more.

I got the Dr Pepper throwback as well which is awesome, but I haven't seen anyone else talk about it. I haven't seen the Dew throwback around here yet either.

I just buy Mexican Pepsi and it's better than the throwback stuff

I avoid Pepsi products whenever possible.

I did buy some throwback Dew and Pepsi.  It is pretty good stuff.  If they made it regularly, I might buy it.

The rep for my local independent market said they considering bringing it back, it sold well and they have been getting comments.

I loved it. The interesting thing is that people who remember sugar in their sd's generally like it. The people who were raised on HFCS generally don't like it. Granted my sample was small.

I try to avoid soft drinks, but I liked the Mountain Dew Throwback and I enjoy a "Mexican" Coke every now and then.

Cane Sugar Dr. Pepper is sold year-round.

Just got to train yourself to look for it.  Not every gas station carries it, but enough do that i bet you're within 20 minutes of one.

In Texas anyway.

I stopped by a Walgreens this weekend and brought home 4-12 packs of Throwback Dew.  So now I have 4.5-12packs of Dew and 2-12s of Pepsi.  I'm goign to get more as I find it.

Throwback was the bomb.  I had a damn near addict-withdrawal episode when I couldn't find it on the shelf anymore.

Then, as if by some divine intervention, I found two.  Bought both, sloooowwwllllyyy savored one of them, and still have the other one as a kind of collector item / SHTF sugary nostalgia source.

Woodman's in WI area has 4 twelve packs for $12. They also have glass bottled mexican coke from $.89/bottle.

Remove the stupid corn legislation and all soda would have real sugar in it.

For you hoarders (like me), when they list the "use by" date, they're serious.

Oh, and those are two bottles of kosher Coke.

I have 5 12pks of throwback dew and 2 12packs of throwback pepsi.

All purchased at my local Publix in Port St. Lucie, FL for 3/$10

I think I will go back and get more Dew today

HA!  Now I'm not the only outed Pepsi drinker!

Diet Pepsi tastes better than the HFCS crap, but throwback rocks.  I've gone through a 12 pack of TB Pepsi since I saw it the 2nd, and plan to pick up more on my way home tonight.
Real sugar Coke in a glass bottle is still the best, but it's really hard to find around here.

Yip. I was picking up 2-4 cases a week, when the taste started to changed I stopped. The sugar just doesnt last as long as regular stuff.

The funny thing is I remember hearing the soft drink companies only save a penny per can using HFCS vs sugar.  Yeah, they sell ALOT of cans but most people would pay a nickel a can more for the sugar.

They many actually switch back to sugar because ethanol has increased the price of corn... They are just worried that they would piss off customers who are used to HFCS.

Supposed to keep for 2mos in 2 liters, and 6mos in cans.

Since the price for regular stuff varies between $2.00 and $4.99 for a 12-pack, I'm not sure how anyone would know if they jacked up the price. Shit, I'd be happy if it'd just settle on a price and stay there.

Does the Mt Dew burn your throat the way it did 10 yrs ago or so?

I loved that!

I gotta say . . . just had a Dr Pepper with the sugar about an hour ago - and i really couldn't tell that much of a difference. It didn't boat me all up & give me an upset stomach, so at least that's something!
