What are yours?

I have a few actually.  The "Deej" in my nickname is a nickname that my family has used for years.

I also have the nicknames of Turtle, Quizmaster, Captain Memory, and The King of Useless Crap.

Turtle came about when I was working at a Girl Scout camp this summer.  All the camp staff had to pick a nickname that everyone would identify them by, other staff and campers.  I have a turtle and a turtle tattooed on my left arm, so Turtle it was.

Quizmaster came about from a girl that I was on college bowl with(trivia not bowling).

Captain Memory came about from a fellow member on this site, hanibal.

King of Useless Crap is what the college bowl advisor and other members called me.

It was Stu when I was in high school. Don't know why. My name is not even near that. I moved to a new school my sophomore year, and people just started calling me Stu.

Cougar... for two reasons.

On January 17, 2007, I was flying as a flight instructor with a student.  Long story short, some hairy shit went down and I had to declare an emergency.  Poor visibility, wicked icing, non-instrument certified aircraft, etc.  Got on the ground before I really got shaken up.  Canceled the rest of my students that day.

The joke around the office was, "Cougar lost it, turned in his wings."

Later, that summer, I had just about lived that one down when I, as a freshly single guy, managed to pull down two older single moms in a four day period.

The nickname resurfaced and stuck ever since.

Honestly, a silly goth. But, I didn't do anything stupid and was friends with pretty much everyone. The dude who Christened me with that title also asked me the same day to play in his band...Knot Knormal.
