I am sure I am going to fuck this up, but I'll try.
The God in AA is the God "of your understanding". If you have admitted that you can't stop drinking by yourself, how do you propose you stop drinking? The AA answer is that there is a God that can and will help if you let him. You sure you're ready to stop drinking? Keep coming (or going) back. You'll find the answers. -Z |

i understand where your coming from. when someone tells me to "pray on it" it makes me think god has better things to worry about than my own small problems and i only pray when i have serious problems.
in your case, i think that you NEED outside help which would require prayer. although everyone has their own relationship with god. if it works for you why change it. |

You'll only hate yourself tomorrow if you don't. no sponsor I don't understand what a sponsor will do anyway. If a sponsor would take me hunting, then mayby I would stay sober. But I just don't get it. I know I will hate myself tomorrow. It doesn't seem to be enough.
