is there any fire fox addons that help hide your pc from being tracked?



it kinda bugs me that on some websites it will have adds that know where your logged in at the moment.



i have ghostery but it seems that some sites still know where your at...

It depends on how hardcore you want to get.



At the minimum end of the spectrum would be Ad Block Plus and NoScript, plus the cookie manager of your choice, as well as some kind of decent AV/Anti-Spyware packages.





Beyond that, you can get into tor, proxy servers, ip spoofing services, peer guardian in full paranoid mode, standalone boot environments burned to CD's, encrypted volumes, etc.

Pay cash for a used wireless card and use free wifi, it will get your name of your MAC address.  + all the stuff posted before

In normal firefox, tools>options>privacy tab> check the box "automatically start firefox in private browsing session"

Take it a step further with something called CCleaner
