if i strap a 1/2 pound to a gallon of gas, will the explosion ignite the gas or just blow it everywhere?

I've never tried gasoline, but I've taped it to 1lb propane bottles. You get a big fireball.

i thought it would i just wasnt sure. i got a huge brush pile im gonna light at the new year.

i dont see anything about that question that the ATF would give a shit about.
