Just heard on Fox radio news that Brazil's top judge has ruled that the American boy whose mother took him down there, divorced her husband (who was in America), and married another guy then died having his baby (whew! out of breath)... is to be returned to his father here in the States. Good for them!

May the dead kidnapper mother roll in her grave...

Thank the Brazilian AG..he's the one who reached out for the Chief Justice to get this fast tracked.  if it had been up to the assaht who put the stay on the original decision it would have been held until sometime in Feb.

Whomever it was... good for them. Glad to see this. Of course, should've been an immediate thing. But better late than never. Makes me sick thinking that a SCUM parent would steal their kid and leave to another country (outside of cases of abuse). The story I heard was that this guy (the kid's father) drove the mother and her parents to the airport and everything. And once she got to Brazil, she immediately divorced him. Talk about kick a guy in the nuts. Hope his kid and he are able to get back on track with their relationship.

Good. Prayers the boy readjusts well and can put this behind him.

Good. I am happy for the outcome, and even happier to have one less story on the news.

The boy ain't on the plane yet.  Not a  done deal until wheels up.

I'm surprised and pleased to hear it, but I believe the rest of the dead mother's family still has the right to appeal.

I'm surprised the court heard the case so quickly.  Good deal.

It's not over yet, all three judges have to sign off and they're on vacation. Besides his grandparents say they are going to appeal it. It could be Feb. or March before he knows for sure.

Glad to see some one there had there head screwed on straight. My sister freaked when she realized the mother was dead. She thought by most of the media hype she was still alive. not that it matters being as she kidnapped the kid any way.

Sounds like the kids grandparents were trying to reach out to the father. Hope they can keep the kid in touch with them as they are not related (at least one side) with the step dad.

They can, but I believe they can appeal with the kid already back in the States.

The Elian Gonzales case bears fruit?

Brazil is only applying the same standard as Clinton did.
