How do I save a gif?

I've seen some pretty good animations in posts here, but if I right click and save I just get the frame that was up at that moment.

And, yes, I have borderline Luddite tendancies. I like hammers. Low tech, high reliability, and they don't even need batteries.

When I save them, the same thing happens, I have to open double click them to get them to animate, and the do work when I host them for repost.
