That telecaster was the soundtrack to my youth and there will never be another like him... Awesome! I was just listening to that yesterday. |
|
Quoted: One of my favorite Waylon clips. When he sings the "place I came in" line With Jessie sitting there it cracks me up. "Poetic license" ![]() I'd never seen that clip before. Ol' Jessi was a looker back in the day |

Someone embed this for me please
Amanda, one of the most beautiful songs ever written. My girlfriend doesn't really like country, but after hearing this she fell in love with it and me. I have to play it and sing along to the jukebox everytime we go to the local bar or I'm in trouble God Bless Waylon, and may he rest in peace. |

There is a much faster version of this that I used for our squad as a running cadence during PT. |

Waylon was so fucking badass its not even funny.... This. I love the Highwaymen but he has to be my favorite. There was something very special about those guys and the that time. I wish very much that I had been around to see it and not just stuck with a lot of old songs and stories, trying to piece together who these men were and what they did. |

How do I post the video on Ar15.com again?
Here are my favorite "early" Waylon" videos! This is even a video of his telecaster without the leather cover! Mental Revenge 1966 And an even earlier video from his movie "Nashville Rebel" Nashville Rebel |
|
And one more good old Waylon video.
This movie is also from 1966! Silver Ribbons |

Quoted: I saw Old Crow Medicine Show on the Ohio River, before they came on stage, Waylon soundtrack was playing. I wondered if alot of the college kids even knew who it was. I dont think either of my kids know... In one sense I was lucky to have older parents , my dad was born in 1938 , mom 1948 , I'm 33. With my dad it was always Hank Williams , Lefty Frizzell , Hank Snow , Faron Young. With my mom it was Waylon , Willie , Billy Joe Shaver , Buck Owens , Merle Haggard. So when all my friends were listening to Motley Crue , AC/DC , Poison , etc...I was jamming out to "Wanted: The Outlaws" and "Old Five and Dimers" |
