Good movie

Sort of an alternative history type of movie. I never expected the ending...

It was offbeat but very enjoyable. It's Tarantino so you can't go in expecting a standard WW2 action flick though there is plenty of violence and uh...beat downs.

I expected more for all the hype. Also, the typical Tarantino trademarks led me to dislike it a little bit more than I normally would have.

The best actor was the head SS guy. He sort of made it enjoyable to hate him, but he got his just desert in the end.

Brad Pitt may be a big lib, but still a great actor as well - especially in roles like this.

I loved it!! I thought it was awesome. But it did need more bastards. Great acting. Brad Pitt was amazing and so was the head nazi and I can't remember his character's name.

Definitely worth watching.

Best movie I've seen in a long long time. Watch it now.

If all you are expecting is action, however, it ain't for you. If you enjoy plot, dialog, creation of tension, impeccable direction, and black humor, then you'll love it.

"Bastards" or "Basterds"? I've seen them both and a genuine remake of the original would be a much better film than the POS that QT crapped out.

One of the best movies I've seen in a while. Just fantastic. I expected a lesser quality, but still enjoyable, movie. The SS officer is so good he upstages a ridiculous Pitt performance.

I didn't hate it...

and I suppose that I wasn't let down. Tarrantino is an over-hyped hack

I knew that going in and I wasn't disappointed.

Reservoir Dogs was good, the rest of his work has been mostly shit.

This film didn't deliver much more than that Operation Valkyrie shit.

I will say that the sets and wardrobe was absolutely excellent, perfect, and couldn't have been better.

It was enjoyable to sit through...

but after the film you'll feel like you've watched a Sgt. Rock comic book, or a Mack Bolan novel.

Very shortly after that, you'll forget all about it.

Brad Pitt was fun to watch. Killin Natsees.

It seemed like G rated Tarintino to me though. I thought it was a bit understated. Like I was wating for something really good to happen but it never did.

The top SS guy deserves an oscar though, he was great to watch.

I really enjoyed it. Brad Pitt kicked ass IMHO, and whoever played Hans Landa was really really good. He made you hate him, he's just downright creepy.

If you are expecting just a shootem up action movie, you will be disappointed. If you like good dialogue movies with some scenes of brutality, you will like it.

Even though it is completely different, I think if you liked No Country for Old Men, then you will like the Basterds.
