alright...my ass needs to go run. but i think i lost my give-a-shit.
anyone have any tips for motivation? my wife says she doesn't care if i'm a little overweight or not, and the thing is, she really DOESN'T. so that doesn't help... i'd use the army as motivation (i'm in the reserves), but i'm kind of sick of the army - i'll be on orders for a year in february, and i know eventually they will want a PT test, but even that isn't really working. cause i hate the army right now:) so...anybody know any good ways to hypnotize oneself into believing that going around the neighborhood a few times is actually a good time? otherwise i'm just going to sit in my bar, smoke, and enjoy a nice red... |

Quoted: i'm still holding out for some kind of hypnosis a la "office space." can't anyone just make me think i've been out shooting instead of going for a run?? If you hate running don't bother with it for cardio. That's nuts. Go find a gym with a heavy bag and punch things. Go swimming in an indoor pool. Go play basketball. Find cardio you enjoy but the real answer is your weight starts and ends on your plate, not how much you run. Most folks burn about 1.5 Calories a minute. So.... 1.5 x 60 = 90 per hour 24 x 90 = 2160 You need a 1000 calorie deficit per day to lose 2 pounds a week. Sooo, 1160. This is why doctors recommend 1200 calories a day for men who want to lose weight. Exercise to lose weight is just one of the dumbest things this country teaches it's kids. It's important for your health, how you look, and how you feel. It's not going to give you 6 pack abs. Not one single person alive ran their way to 6 pack abs and ignored their diet unless they were a genetic freak. Oh shit, that was the long answer. Put down the cupcake and back away slowly. There ya go. |
