[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Phillipino Bolo Fighting

Anyone ever heard of this? When arguements had to be settled, two guys would each grab a bolo (think machete) and tie their left hands together. On "Go" the one left alive was declared the winner. This seems pretty fucking bad ass. Any Arfcom Philipinos that could clear up whether this is legit or not? Or anyone have an article or something? Looked all over to no avail.

I asked my dad what Bolo fighting was and he says "that's machete fighting". I asked him if they still do it in the Philippines and he says "yea but not as much as they used to".
