I've been catching some of the Sarah Palin interviews and I think she's doing a lot better since she isn't being kept in a box by McCain's handlers.
Rather than the elitists that we are usually offered by politics, she resonates with the avaerage, everyday American. I think she gets better with experience. |

She is definately more refined. |

Quoted: I would imagine she is still looking for some firm ground. I don't believe she has been dealt much of that. I also believe that is probably a good thing. It will toughen her up....not that she isn't....But, very tough......she will need to be. PALIN 2012 I'm pretty sure with the way the media plays the game with her, she's gonna be No BS, tough as nails and taking no prisoners if she runs in 2012. |

In all fairness, she is more polished, but you have to remember that these interviews are all pre-scripted and she knows the questions/discussion topic in advance so she has ample time to "study". I'd prefer to see her in a townhall type debate on things such as the economy, foreign policy, national security, this is where she needs to shine in order to gain confidence of those on the fence about her abilities. |

Did O'Reilly give her the questions in advance? That doesn't sound like his style. I, too, would like to see her in townhall meetings to give straight answers to regular folks. |

I call BULLSHIT..I watched the Oreily interview, and not buying it was a pre scripted event, even the douche I think big bill can be, he is no buddy of palin and never has been. but He aint GIBSON either rude arrogant sob he ws with palin, and even CBS people have stated much of the Couric interview ended up on the floor and they used every "gotcha" second they could drum in in what was broadcasted McCains TV person WORKED for COURIC and was a personal friend and set up Palin to fail to help Couric's ratings and even though Greta seems to be very impressed with Palin, I didnt see the adoration presented by the LIBs for Obama shown by ANY FOX interviewer so ..

She's more polished, but her grammar and syntax still sound like Joda sometimes. I really like her but she just does not sound presidential. Yeah, she really sounds like a hick compared to your boy obama Come on people, don't buy into the media hype. She speaks directly to the normal people, in their vernacular. |

Now that she is out of McCains shell, she is demonstrating that she is the epitome of all that is good and right. She won't get the Christian hater or hard-line abortionist votes, but they never vote for less government anyway. This. Palin is a different person since she's jettisoned McCain and the rest of the RINO assholes. |

My boy Obama . . . don't make me puke. This is why GD is just good for wasting time at work. Palin is just not a great communicator a la Reagan. Questioning her does not make someone an Obama supporter. Good god. Her speeches even recently are still rambling and sometimes don't make a lot of sense. I would feel far more comfortable with Palin as president than Obama. But she speaks like a normal person because she is basically a normal person, and she doesn't really have much more grasp of foreign policy, economics, etc than most people. Of course the media hates her, and yes she is a threat to the liberal idea of feminism. It would be great if Palin or someone like her were president, but she just has some significant weaknesses. Personally I like Michelle Bachman a lot more. Anyway thanks for playing, but remember being on the bandwagon doesn't mean you can't use critical thinking. |

In the eyes of those who don't already support her, the only way she can improve her tarnished image is to go into a crash course in debating and presentation put on by George Will. |

Quoted: Exactly.Quoted: GOP will not nominate her. If she runs, it will be 3rd party, and thats a good thing. If you want Obama to win a second term, then yes. I guess that would be a good thing for you. A third party ruin the Republican Party (fine, you say), but more importantly it would kill any hopes for Conservatism. What we need to do is take back the Republican Party.
|
| The only thing she need to do better is to turn the stupid question back on the interviewer. For example she was talking about the economy and how to fix it. The reporter bring one out of left field about the newsweek cover of her in her running gear. She should have said "Whats that have to do with the economy? " I have faith she wil get it right shortly. |

What we need to do is pull our collective heads out of our asses. Jesus how much failure do we need before we wake up? I cannot believe after all the scandals the so called "conservatives" have been involved in since mid 90s some of you are still holding on to the bullshit label. I know it gets easier when you are able to say after one gets busted oh he wasn't a conservative. The GOP will continue to lose until they get rid of that stupid fucking label. You know who else lives calling people conservatives? Besides this site that is? The liberals. The liberals LOVE slathering a candidate in that label because for the most part its a non starter. God the GOP has become so dense and thick headed. Keep making the same mistakes and expecting a different result. Hell you guys can't even figure out what a conservative is... On this sight alone you'll find at least 5 different definitions and each person making that definition will swear up and down every one else is a RINO. Yep the best way to win a majority vote is to freakin fracture the voters lol. We want to win back the WH at the same time we exclude GOP members because they don't think and talk and walk and act exactly like our definition of a Republican. LOL good luck getting a President that 3/4s of the site doesn't dismiss as a RINO. Conservatives remind me of the old ladies in a southern Baptist church where I grew up.... Well So&So is a back slider and a sinner because she was involved in 10% less church crap than I did this week. Only I AM the real Christian here. Those bitches ended up being REAL lonely... But By god they thought they defined what a Christian is and that is all that mattered. We are dividing and conquering ourselves ROFLMAO how effing stupid.. Let's have at least 5 different definitions of what a conservative is and tell everyone else they are not wanted because they are a RINO and there is no place for that in our party. How in the hell can we win with 20% of the vote? I think some of you look at polls and hear the country is divided and suddenly believe that 50% of the country is Conservative. WRONG. MAYBE MAYBE 20% if that then reduce that by everyone's favorite pet definition. How many goofballs here stomped their lil hooves and said they were gonna vote 3rd party because McCain wasn't a conservative or conservative enough? That sure worked out well for us, we got VERY liberal Dems running 2/3s of our gov't branches. yea us!!!!
Yep the whole yer a RINO V conservative thing is working well for us. |

Well put. Excellent point. While being articulate is a good leadership trait its not the only one. Clinton was well spoken and I despised him. Obama is well spoken and slick but he is horrible for my country. I'd prefer someone that was a good leader first with his most important consideration being what is best for this nation in a real sense. And man it is just so easy: Waste fraud and abuse in congress has got to go Congress passing laws that fall well outside of their constitutional powers and the Constitution itself has got to stop Realize that we have 360 million or so people here. No one system is perfect sometimes there will need to be well thought out compromises, in other words common sense and reality dictates, not ideology that is ever shifting Gotta stop and I mean STOP as a national priority 2 things: Illegal immigration gone done. Not just Mexico but India, Asia, Mid East, Europe too. No over staying Visas. Period we will round you up, ship you home and bill your country. Growth of government and cut government at the micro level. EXAMPLE: WTF do we have a department of Education for at the Fed level? Aside from gov't courses are there any federal public schools? No so fuck off... If we send troops to war then by God we send them to fight. And NYTs and whiney foreigners STFU you are not in charge of our troops you don't pay them, train them, mourn their wounds and deaths you have no say so in what we do with them. National health care? Funny I don't see that in the constitution so don't even use the words again its over. Gay Marriage? states figure it out Abortion same thing but you will not get 1 penny in federal money not even via loopholes. no tax payer money period for abortion EVER. Guns? read the 2nd amendment its simple its clear shut up no more using it to distract voters the issue is over. Citizens have RKBA. Criminals? use guns, or commit a crime against a person or a citizens property? You will go to jail. Period... If you go to jail and come out worse you'll go back forever. I don't care... Penalty goes back in to the system and if you fail to wise up and rehab yourself... You'll pay for it until you do. Regardless of your color and percentages. Police will be fully supported but also harshly judged if they violate rights in any form or fashion. The constitution is not confusing. Follow it or don't at your own peril. No more excuses BTW. You will go to school will be afforded the opportunity to LEARN no more agendas in school just learning. If you drop out, fail to learn and become a burden on society. Tough shit go hungry. I don't care what happened to your forefathers, I don't care if your mommy doesn't hug you enough. Hard worker but something bad and out of your control happens and you are left jobless? Ok we will help and we'll help you more than ever before because leeches are gone. Get fired because you are lazy, a thief, do something stupid and get fired? Figure it out. treat this as a growing and learning phase. Hunger is a good motivator. No more governing for and by special interests. INCLUDING conservative causes. No more wasting government money to please special interest groups of ANY flavor. WE the PEOPLE... get used to it. Common sense for a common goal... Making this the country it deserves to be with our Constitution as our foundation and rudder. |
