So my son is doing a paper in school and is wondering why when a white person says "white power" they are considered a skin but when a black person says "black Power" it is ok and it means nothing?  Kinda hard to answer this. I am not racist but this seems hard to answer.

Politically correct racism.

Doesn't make any sense, does it?

It's not ok and means the same thing as someone who says "white power".

The only difference is that for blacks, they don't really have a bonifide "Hitler", so there is less of a stigma tied to it.

IBTL and possible bans if it goes long enough.

Double standards that are widely accepted, that is why.

"Because some animals are more equal than others."

And hand him a copy of Animal Farm to read, if he's old enough.

White liberal guilt. It's a mental disorder.

Four words your son needs to familiarize himself with:
Politically Correct
Double Standard

He get's that down, he's good to go!

Because white power is every day and black power is one month a year?

Wait.... its because we have all white schools and they have the United Negro College?

No....  Can't be... none of that's right.

All kidding aside.

I have no idea why its ok for on group to have racial pride and for another group its racial hatred. Just another double standard in a growing politically (BS) correct society  One of the leading causes to the downfall of this country if you ask me.

Double standards. But like it or not, the idea behind "white power" is related to the same ideas that resulted in the mass slavery of blacks, anti-semitism, Hitler and the Holocaust. "Black power" doesn't have that same kind of historical baggage.

Don't worry, in ~2040 maybe you can shout "white power!" all you want. You will be a minority then...

It's not hard to answer truthfully at all:

"We live in a society that is openly hostile to whites."

Indeed. Caucasian peoples spread about the world and established colonies in times past. The stigma of slavery and oppression persists. I am about as white as a person can be and my ancestors were persecuted by other white people.
The White Power statement has been perverted by the skin head racist Nazi types to the point that most people equate it with hatred.
Black or Brown power statements are perceived as a sign of unity.
That is my take on it.
