| WE moved my mother law this past weekend into a appartment complex closer to us.Yesterday we called to turn her cable on for just basic cable for $29.99.They informed us that she could not have basic cable but they have a specal for $69.00 for HD.My mother in law is 80 yr old and does not know how to use the HD equipment, they informed us to put the cable equipment for the HD in the closet and just use cable for basic but still charge us for for HD.I can't belive they would even say something like this.Well just my rant,we are still thinking about what to do her tv is all she has to keep her company during the day! |

My Lord I hate Comcast as well...
Tried to upgrade. Telephone person in china or whatever says ok and puts me on hold for 20 minutes and says it's done. Two days later and I run a speedtest and no where near where it's posed to be... Call again, different person, ask for manager/supervisor, get put on hold, etc. Finally get to talk to someone who doesn't know how to form a sentence. I tell them to send out a technian on their dime. We get the appoitment set up. A local cat comes out to the apartment and says that they don't have the lines for the amount of data I upgraded for. Calls the call center a few choice words and set's me up as best as he could... Great Technician, horrible Comcast call center people... As soon as the new year rolls around, I'm cancelling it all and just doing without. It still lags out etc and it's nothing on my end. |

I am not impressed with Comcast. I use them for broadband internet access.
Out of the 700 email addresses in my contact file, there is only one that gets bounced back to me as undeliverable (this is a known good address and the owner of the address is a computer scientist). When I contacted Comcast to report the problem, they said that the reason is that they have blocked me on one of my outgoing ports because I am a spammer. I assured them that I am not a spammer and have never sent an email with more than seven recipients. And then I asked them how their explanation accounted for only one address in 700 having this problem. They said that if I am free to find another carrier. How is it that such incompetent people have jobs during a period of high unemployment? |
| Funny, I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with Comcast this morning trying to straighten out my bill. I'd like to set it up as an automatic payment, but I'm sure as hell not going to do that when the amount due fluctuates, for no apparent reason, between $65 and $127 per month. |

comcast sucks, but right now it is the only provider of cable and internet i can get. I moved into a new place and signed up for their special internet with higher download speed and mid level cable. All is all total was suppose to be $95 a month. First bill is $65 and then second bill is $115? WTF? Then I get a letter sayifnt hey gave me the HD package by mistake and took that away. Ok, now bill should correct, nope now its $200. I call and talk with 8 different people at different times to resolve the issue. Twice got disconneted after long holds and once i could not understand the person i was talking with. Find out they tried to dissconnect me and added a $75 charge , whch was suppose to be dropped after talking with third person because no one could figure out why they added that. And yes I do pay my bill. Checked last week as to status and was told it was still in process. Got bill last night and its still on there.
God I hate comcast i want my dish back. |

| Contact the local authority that regulates cable providers, I had to do that when I was having a dispute with Comcast when they failed to test things after installing digital cable for me, the day after I filled out an online form on the county government website, Comcast fixed the issue. |

Thanks for explaining this. So now my complaint is that Comcast made up a bogus reason, rather than explain what you explained. Now how do I track down the "overzealous email server" and how is it corrected? |

That is the reason why I or my dad will never do auto-bill pay. |
