Who's the best source for neo magnets?
I was looking at these people, is there anyone else i should consider?
http://www.kjmagnetics.com/categories.asp

I'm looking to buy between 8 and 10, various sizes and thicknesses (3/4'' and smaller diameter) So i need to be able to purchase in individual quantity.

LOTS of fun stuff can be found here: United Nuclear: Neodymium Magnets

(no they dont sell them individually under 3/4" but they do sell lots of different sizes for pretty darn reasonable price from what I've seen)

I had initially looked at United Nuclear, but i need to be able to purchase say two of each size/thickness.

Lol....I have some. Bought 2 from UN, forgot where the other 2 are. All 4 are 1 cubic inch.

Forgot to add, i'm looking for disc magnets. I've already got a few here (discs, 1/2'' diameter  1/8'' thick) Is there much advantage to the N50-N52 over the N42?

yup ... you generally always get what you pay for.  ( look on KJ's site and check the pull force for each ).

You probably already have a couple of hard drives to take apart... not disc magnets though.

I wonder how you maintain a warehouse full of super-strength magnets

Mine is actually to mount my license plate to my motorcycle. I put two magnets inside the battery box, then two on the outside JB Welded to an aluminum bracket i made. The license plate bolts the bracket, and the magnets stick to each other through the plastic battery box. Just didn't want to drill holes in my motorcycle, they've worked great so far (prototype model as i like to say). I'm just going to do it a little differently and more presentable. I can easily pull the license plate off to clean, and it goes right back on with a snap.

Oh and before anyone says, "well someone might just steal your license plate like that" It's not obvious at all how it's attached, you'd just assume it was bolted on.

ND magnets are super strong especially the N52's .... they will nearly pick up a dollar bill. .... also aluminum and copper are diamagnetic.

Initially, I got a couple for a AA LED flashlight ... It's stuck on my ATV 24/7, always easy to get.
This worked so well, I made one for a pump shotgun, and a 22 rifle... this is the only way to shoot varmints at night.
I've used several for cabinet doors ( not like the cheap ones at HD ).
Magnetizing tools - screwdrivers / tips.
Securing CB / Ham radio cable to vehicles.
I have a 1 inch diameter N52 cylinder stuck to a 1/2 inch thick steel disk I use for a door stop.
At Christmas the wife wants a wreath on the front door... so employ another one there... no need to drill holes.
Another on my mailbox door to " click " it shut.
I thought about making a magnetic trigger mousetrap / booby trap but haven't yet.

Interesting.  Really; it's not sarcasm.... things that I honestly have never thought of before.  I'd like to see what other uses people propose...

I used aluminum to make the original bracket?
They didn't seem to have any diamagnetic effect with it though?
Also, what do you mean by picking up a dollar? Is there something that's magnetic in a dollar? Ink?

First, gonna give a huge +1 to KJ, they are good peoples.

I use mine for magnetizing Warhammer 40k miniatures. The game lets you change weapons on certian models, so instead of having a model with a flame thrower, and one with an anti tank weapon, I can just have one model, and put magnets on the weapons and switch them out

IIRC, there is some iron in the ink.
