Hey everyone- this is my first post here; longtime lurker:p but this is my first time really posting :p
This may be a little long, so if you don't want to read it, I'm sorry... Anyways, I agree with almost everything that i read here- but one thing upsets me- and that is defeatism... Everyone thinks that this country is lost- but it is not! thinking like that does not help anyone except those in government that we now have in power! I see so many people post saying that america is gone... its too late- we have already been taken over by the leftist... but that is not true!! If anything, this is our time to stand up! to vote! to make our voices heard!!! I also see threads stating how our military is losing ground to other countries such as China- we are not!! Take the time to study our hardware and you will find that we are still years ahead of our adversaries––- so please stop stating otherwise... It does us no good.... If healthcare passes- we will be in for a world of hurt- but don't give up!! many people here say that this is the end of America- but that is the wrong attitude! We must not forget who we are- we have overcome diversity before- that is what has made america what it is!! We must fight to expose the truth about muslim fanatics... They are here- and we must keep them in check... I have lived over seas- I've studied for a year in eastern europe with many muslims (mostly i Iranian); and i know that most of them LIKE america and freedom and detest their own government; but lets not forget the fact that there are others who seek our destruction and want to take us over; and many of those are right here- on our soil. Anyways- what i want to encourage all of you to do; is to not give up the fight- continue being strong americans... citizens of freedom; and don't act like all hope is lost... That is what THEY want!!! WE will be strong... and WE will not surrender to nancy pelozi and the liberals that we now have in control... ETA i will edit this post tomorrow- I'ts almost 6 here, and I am very tired so I'm sure i've made a lot of grammatical mistakes... very tired but cant fall asleep 
Long story short- glad I'm a member of this site... VERY glad that there are some true freedom-loving Americans left :) So keep it going- sorry for the rant! |

Welcome to the site but unfortunately I can't totally agree with you on the status of this country. I have been around long enough to watch the gradual decline of pride in who you are and what you can do. Anymore it is "what do I get for nothing". Far too many have there hand out for a handout. I don't know what happened to the I am going to be something/someone ideal.
It can be retrieved but if it doesn't start to turn soon it may be a long downward spiral. |

And a person who has studied enough history to understand that for some reason it takes a disaster to get this country motivated... Well guess what folks? This presidency and this health care bill are a disaster! Now is the time to get going- and I believe we will :) |

I agree with you- there are so many that want to become dependent on the "handouts" and our so called government- but we can turn things around! Not all of the youth are brainwashed ;) And I do agree- the downard spiral has begun; but we have faced worse... And as long as we don't give up- we will overcome. That is what we are all about... My ancestors arrived here before the revolution and they faced a much bigger adversary- and you know what? they never gave up. They drew strength through impossible odds; and i believe that we can too. Like I said before- it takes something horrible or downright oppressive before this country unites- and we are now facing that! And I think the elections in 2010 will reflect it. |
